Many property owners are very concerned about the coming 2010 season. Tourist figures for last year were down by all accounts and many owners are complaining about taking less bookings this year, than at this time last year.

This is a twofold problem.

Firstly, each year, more and more villas, farmhouses, cottages, windmills, etc enter the rental market and these are then placed with more and more online owner/agent websites.

It´s just becoming harder and harder to get your holiday property noticed online.

This is equally true in the case of the real estate market.

Secondly, there are more tourist destinations than ever to choose from and to compound it all there is a banking crisis and the economy is in resession bringing with it an expected downturn in property sales and in tourist numbers.

This would spell disaster, but for one thing. - people will still come to Algarve for their holidays and some will be looking to buy property here, it´s a fact, maybe not as many as in recent years but some will still come here, that´s for sure.

So all you have to do, is entice those potential visitors to stay in your property or buy your house. You owe it to yourself to, at least, give them a better idea of what your property has to offer so you can tempt them toward a booking or a sale.

To achieve this your online image will have to be better than most of the competing properties in the market. Only those shown well will do well.
