Here is a side to the Algarve that few residents, let alone visitors get to see, but a trip to Alcoutim in the extreme east of the region brings rewards that no other part of Algarve can match. I am often asked, and am often trying to explain, what I mean by THE REAL ALGARVE. I recently came across these fantastic ceramic tiles that do a better job of explaining life here in the Algarve than I could ever do.

We were recently asked to carry out a photo makeover at the above Algarve farmhouse on the outskirts of Sao Marcos da Serra. This is a small traditional Algarvian rustic style farmhouse set in beautiful countryside, - Here is the resulting gallery.
